August 26 - BETHANY, W.Va. – Although the Bethany College men’s soccer team lost just six players from last year’s varsity roster, a talented incoming freshmen class could play a key role as the Bison aim to return to the top of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC).
August 21 - BETHANY, W.Va. – With 11 freshmen on this year’s team, the Bethany College volleyball team will have a far different look in its second year under head coach Courtney Kline. The Bison open the season Sept. 3 with a match at LaRoche (Pa.) College.
Aug. 13 - BETHANY, W.Va. – Although 17 starters are returning for the Bethany College football team for the 2008 season, there is still quite a bit of change affiliated with the Bison program, which is entering its third year under the direction of head coach Tim Weaver.
Aug. 11 - BETHANY, W.Va. – With the start of the 2008-09 school year just weeks away, the Bethany College athletic department has announced six new assistant coaches who will be filling out their respective programs’ staffs this season.
Aug. 6 - LATROBE, Pa. – The Bethany College football team was chosen to finish sixth in the preseason poll released Wednesday during the 2008 PAC Football Media Day, held at Saint Vincent College. Voters in the poll included conference head coaches, sports information directors and members of the media who were in attendance at the event.
July 18-BETHANY, W.Va.-Construction is progressing on a total renovation and expansion of Bison Stadium adjacent to the Thomas P. Johnson Sports and Recreation Center, according to Dr. Scott D. Miller, President of the College. The entire complex is scheduled for completion by August.
July 16 - CAIRO, Egypt – Bethany College sophomore Suzanne Stettinius (Parkton, Md./Hereford) placed 33rd out of 60 competitors at the Modern Pentathlon Junior World Championships, which were held in Cairo, Egypt on July 6.
July 2 - WEXFORD, Pa. – The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) has announced that Bethany College President Dr. Scott D. Miller will serve as chair of conference’s Presidents’ Council in the 2008-09 academic year.
